D'Ambrosio Raps Beacon Hill's "Political Games" And "Stagnation"

D'Ambrosio marked the post-Thanksgiving Small Business Saturday with a tour of shops and restaurants in the district, with the goal of highlighting how they've been hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. "While mega-monopolies like Amazon have thrived during COVID-19 and increased their value by tens of billions of dollars, the small businesses we support throughout our community continue to struggle," his campaign said in a statement. D'Ambrosio knocked lawmakers for not yet passing a bill to spend American Rescue Plan Act money and last year's tax surplus. On WCVB's "On the Record" on Sunday, he described the bill as "held up because of political games and just stagnation, a general air of stagnation in the Legislature." In a press release, he called it "unconscionable that this critical funding could be left languishing by politicians who haven’t missed a paycheck."
